As usual, there will be a CAPCA Golf Tournament on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Whispering Pines Golf Course. Questions? Check the CAPCA website or contact Bob Hart; Bob.Hart@Thermofisher.com. Please send your commitment to play and Team Rosters to Bob.Hart@thermofisher.com . If you do not have a Team you will be placed on one prior to the event.

 

Tentatively, we will have a “shotgun” start for all players starting at 10:44 a.m.. All players must arrive at the course 30 minutes before start time. If we have more than 36 players register we will go to individual foursome/team T-times.

 

As golfers you know prices have gone up substantially for Greens Fees at most if not all courses. This is the case here as well. This Fall we will implement payment by each golfer directly to Whispering Pines Golf Course at the time of check-in.

 

The price offered to our group is $64.00 plus taxes per person (normal price is $69.00), plus a $2.00 tip per person for bag drop; total per golfer $66.00. Range balls are an additional $6.00 for 30 balls if you wish to purchase them.

 

We will collect $5.00 cash per player for mulligans at the course (cash only, no checks, no venmo). This will be used for our Proximity Prizes (4 total). Only players that pay will be eligible for prizes. We will do 4 “closest to the pin” challenges in order to give everyone a better chance to win on each of the 4 holes.

 

We will collect another $5.00 cash per player per ($20.00 per Team; cash only, no checks, no venmo) for those Teams wishing to be considered for the Lowest Team Score Prize. Winner Take All.

 

If Teams do not want to be considered in this competition there is no problem. We want as many people to feel welcome to participate in our event as possible regardless of skill level. Hopefully this will encourage as many golfers as possible to participate in our outing.

 

If we are able to have a “shot gun” start we will hand out the prizes immediately following our round at the 19th Hole. If we have multiple T-times than I will deliver the prizes back at the Conference.
